After having a wonderful response from the audience last year this year Nadam is organising Pratishruti12- a venture to establish the actual idea of Sangeet as explained in Sanskrit sloka.

"Geetam Badyam Thatha Nrityam
Trayam Sangeetam Uchhate"

This definition of Sangeet is losing its actual meaning these days. To re-establish this idea of Sanskrit sloka we are going to organise a festival of two days where people of suburb area will be able to get the flavor of Sangeet(Geet, Badya,Nritya). This event will include seminars, workshops apart from the performance.

Purpose of organising such an event is to give an opportunity to the people of suburb areas to witness and enjoy the meaning of Sangeet in international standard in true sense.

As a Kathak dancer, choreographer and a trainer, working in the professional field for the last 20 years I have accumulated a number of experiences from India and abroad. In the process, I have been able to identify a few aspects, which I would like to illuminate upon to make Indian Classical Music and Dance more accepted worldwide.Though we already have a recognition Globally, still I realise there is a need to bring about a transformation in the presentation of the various forms to incite interest and attract the next generation more towards it.
